When a human with a spirit partner makes a sweet, the sweets spirit sends a card with a picture of the sweet to the Queen of the Sweet Spirits. The number of cards a spirit sends affects their ability to become Court Patissieres as points.
Episode 27 of season 1 reveals that there can be special sweets cards that are shiny, and even more valuable than normal sweets cards.
